The house itself is inspired by the Spanish colonial haciendas found throughout Central America. Meticulous attention has been paid to all details, including hand made tiles, doors of local hardwoods, marble and granite counter tops. The house is decorated with Central American crafts and artwork. In addition, the house is carefully integrated into the natural surroundings.

 

Constructed around a central courtyard with fountains, each room opens onto its own covered veranda. This unique design allows guests to feel a part of the natural surroundings while enjoying the rustic luxury and comforts of the house.

 
Bedrooms:

 

There is ample space for up to 8 guests. The house contains 1 master suite and 2 other bedrooms, sleeping a total of 6 people.

There is additional space in other rooms for 2 more guests. Each bedroom includes a private bathroom and covered balcony/sitting area.

 
Living and Dining:

The living areas of the house are open and spacious.

The main terrace overlooking the pool includes rocking chairs and a 6 person dining table and is anchored at each end by tiled wall fountains.

 

The living room is furnished with ample seating and decorated in Central American textiles and crafts. The den contains a television (with satellite connection), sitting area and small library

 

 

The dining room contains a large table accommodating 10 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 ovens, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, etc. In addition, there is a small breakfast area in the kitchen.

 

The highlight of the living areas is the rooftop terrace.

This area includes a covered sitting room with wicker furniture and an open patio with comfortable chaise lounges.

 

The entire terrace enjoys a stunning view of the surrounding jungle and mountains.

 

The blue tiled infinity pool is located adjacent of the main veranda and overlooks the Cerro Frio Mountains and valley. The underwater sitting area is a perfect location for relaxing and observing nature.

Lush gardens separate the house and pool from the surrounding jungle. In addition to numerous exotic plants, the gardens are planted with banana, orange, lemon, guava, mango, avocado, starfruit, cashew and breadfruit trees. Fresh fruit of one kind or another is available all year. Because of the abundance of fruit trees, monkeys, toucans, parrots and other wildlife are frequent visitors to the gardens.
